Mentorship for
women in the behavioral health field

I help women stepping into leadership find their footing, trust their judgment, and build careers that last, with someone in their corner who has walked this path first.

What I learned along the way

I came to this field in the middle of my life, after a career as a research librarian and my own recovery. Over twenty years I have worked as a substance use disorder professional, a case manager, and an administrator. A good deal of what I know, I learned by getting it wrong first.

Leadership in behavioral health asks a lot of women. And in this field, finding a female role model has been challenging in my experience. You are expected to hold your team, your clients, and the budget, often all at once, and usually without anyone checking on you. That’s where I come in.

Sharing what I know with colleagues has always been my favorite part of this work, which is why I am doing more of it now. Mentorship lets me hand it to you directly, so more of your energy can go toward leading.

What mentorship
looks like

It is shaped around you and the season of your career you are in.

We begin where you are

In our first conversation we talk about your role, your goals, and what is weighing on you right now.

We find a rhythm

We meet on a schedule that fits your life, by phone or video, wherever you are in the world.

We work on what is real

How to stand out in the role you’re in, build your network, strengthen your professional competency, and navigate through the moments you wonder whether you belong in the room.

You grow your circle

I can help open doors to my network and resources I trust, so you are building relationships along with skills.

Tell me where you are headed

A first conversation is a chance to talk about your professional passion, where you are now, what you want next, and whether mentorship with me is a good fit.
